Content

A thorough understanding of the peripheral arterial system is required to perform a quality lower extremity arterial ultrasound evaluation. This course covers normal arterial anatomy, arterial physiology, and arterial hemodynamics.

Once you have that understanding we continue with peripheral arterial pathology and the pathophysiology behind atherosclerosis, aneurysms, fibromuscular dysplasia, and congenital anomalies.

Simply learning concepts regarding ultrasound imaging is not sufficient to create a competent sonographer. To truly excel, we must consider how we communicate with others. In order to answer the clinical questions, this chapter will provide a guideline regarding how to communicate with both the patient and the physician.

About this course

  • $150.00
  • 16 lessons
  • 1.5 hours of video content
  • 1.5 CME (Vascular Testing)
  • Who this course is for

Sonographers, Cardiologists, Radiologists, Interventional Cardiologists and Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Endovascular Specialists, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants

  • Focus on concepts

Learning the technical protocol is not enough to perform a quality ultrasound study. In order to think critically & investigate the venous & arterial systems, it is important to understand each system conceptually

  • Meet the experts

Concepts are taught by the very best instructors, many of whom were responsible for researching these concepts and publishing these criteria.
