On her spare time, Julie enjoys golfing, piloting helicopters, lifting weights, and lifting spirits.

Susan Gustavson, RVT, RDMS

Sonographer, Educator

Susan serves as an educator on the Universal Ultrasound team. She holds two registry credentials as Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

In her spare time. Susan enjoys playing with her dogs, walking on the beach, and drinking coffee.

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of clinicians in the cardiovascular field.

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Review and discuss the modes of imaging for ultrasound

  • Define right heart strain via ultrasound

  • Identify clot in transit via ultrasound 

  • Identify DVT in central, upper, and lower extremities

  • Examine the relationship of normal and abnormal ultrasound findings for right heart, central, and peripheral venous system
