14th Hoag Vascular Imaging Symposium
Case-based lectures, expert faculty, and new hands-on scanning stations with real patients. Start with the case below, then reserve your seat.
IVC Filter: A Case Study
Presented by Julie A. Cardoso, RDCS, RVT, RPhS
Why IVC filter cases matter: an IVC filter is a small device placed in the inferior vena cava to help keep blood clots from the legs from traveling to the lungs. Patients who have one need careful follow-up of the veins around it, which is exactly where central venous and iliocaval ultrasound skills come in.
This case is not from the symposium itself. It's a preview of the kind of clinical case-thinking you'll explore at VIS.
Lecture + Hands-On includes 3 months of access to the Central Veins Ultrasound Course.
Presented in collaboration with Universal U
An interactive, hands-on training experience with real patients and complex pathology. This vascular educational symposium provides physicians and vascular technologists with up-to-date clinical knowledge on the diagnosis and treatment of vascular diseases, with a multidisciplinary faculty exploring current practice and future trends.
Intended for practicing vascular surgeons and vascular medicine specialists, endovascular and neurovascular physicians, cardiologists, cardiovascular specialists, primary care physicians, and vascular technologists.
Hands-On Sessions in Collaboration with Universal U
Four classrooms, real patients with complex pathology, and expert faculty guiding you through technique, image optimization, patient positioning, and protocols. Spots are limited.
